Headquartered in San Diego, California, Tactical Edge, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that helps organizations cost-effectively design, develop and deploy complex C2/C4I and enterprise information management systems. We couple industry best practices, emergent open source proven technologies, and domain and technical expertise to efficiently modernize complex C2/C4I and Information management systems to meet the ever-evolving needs of the Warfighter.

Our mission is clear -
Improve the operational effectiveness and lethality of the Warfighter.
Our approach to accomplish our mission is equally as clear:
  • Exploiting Real-World Corporate Expertise: We continue to exploit our corporate expertise in designing, developing, and deploying C2 systems, such as U.S. Army Mission Command's Battle Command Sustainment Support System (BCS3), in order to provide Warfighters with accurate, actionable information. Our solutions excel in the Disconnected Intermittent Limited High-Latency (DILH) communication environments found in theater today. We design solutions with consideration to constraints associated with extremely immature communication infrastructures, such as those employed at the onset of expeditionary operations [(e.g., Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF I))], as well as the far more reliant communication infrastructures matured to support ongoing operations (e.g., OEF IX).

  • Hiring the Right People, with the Right Skills: We continue to hire the best and brightest engineers and subject matter experts. Our employees' technical expertise and fresh perspectives bring innovation to the ever-widening portfolio of solutions developed by Tactical Edge. We choose technical competency over increased profit margin, thus ensuring our team is best equipped to meet the needs of the Warfighter.

  • Employing Proven Open Source Technology: We continue to employ proven open source cutting-edge technologies, that eliminate proprietary software solutions and vendor lock-in. Proprietary solutions have the propensity to limit Warfighter access to innovative solutions derived through free and open competition. Tactical Edge, by thoroughly evaluating potential solution sets, fostering creativity, and developing innovative prototypes, is able to present solutions that encompass "best of breed" open source technologies.
